Antwerp, Belgium - November 5th, 2025
Made is proud to announce the launch of BeJobs, a new digital platform that closes the widening gap between job seekers and job posters on conventional recruiting platforms.
Belgium’s labour market in 2025.
Belgium's labour market presents a striking paradox: while more than half a million job vacancies remain unfilled, hundreds of thousands of Belgians are without work.
Remarkably, this mismatch is more pronounced in Belgium than in other countries, constraining economic growth and impacting public budgets. The solution, according to Flemish labour economist Prof. Dr. Stijn Baert, lies in bringing vacancies and job seekers together faster, and expanding the pool from which employers can draw by attracting inactive individuals to the labour market.
That’s where BeJobs comes in.
Founders Steven Teughels and David Andries set out to rethink how people actually find work. Conventional job platforms still approach job seekers in traditional fashion, while today’s society is everything but traditional. Consequently, many young people, vulnerable minority groups, an increasing number of non-native speakers, and those over 45 y.o. often abandon their job search through conventional channels quite quickly.
Instead of this traditional résumé-based approach, BeJobs offers a social-media-like experience where users can create a personal profile, explore jobs interactively and connect directly with employers. The platform's intuitive matching mechanism allows both job seekers and job posters to engage in a fast and accessible way.

A human-first job matching.
BeJobs has been created in close collaboration with Made's strategy, digital and development teams.
The mobile app specifically targets operational and technical profiles such as construction workers, technicians, agricultural workers, cleaners, warehouse staff, drivers, hospitality workers, and healthcare providers. These are often difficult positions to fill, yet they represent a critical segment of the workforce that traditional platforms struggle to serve effectively.
At the core of BeJobs is the simplicity of social media use and the intelligence of modern applications. Instead of a static job board, each user receives a personal job feed, similar to an Instagram or TikTok feed, but filled with job opportunities tailored to them. This familiar experience makes job searching more intuitive and engaging, particularly for younger generations and those less comfortable with traditional job platforms.
In addition, the app contains many distinctive features.
In terms of content, BeJobs doesn't just use text as it also has space for video content and image-enriched company profiles. In addition, there is also the option to work with avatars instead of personal photos, reducing bias and promoting more inclusive hiring practices while candidates retain control over when to reveal their identity.
The platform also offers space for storytelling. Employers can introduce themselves, and candidates can showcase themselves with a short video creating more engaging and authentic connections. An AI engine ensures that matches are not made based on qualifications, but on matching talent, motivation, and potential. Push notifications also deliver relevant matches in real-time, increasing speed and quality while reducing time-to-hire.
Interactive maps show job locations, giving users a clear overview of opportunities in their area. This is particularly valuable for those seeking work close to home.
Recognizing Belgium's diverse workforce, BeJobs also launched in Dutch, French, German, English, Polish, and Ukrainian, with Spanish and Turkish coming soon. This dramatically expands access for non-native speakers who struggle with traditional platforms.
To ensure a strong start, BeJobs is connected via an API link with one of Belgium’s most popular conventional recruitment platforms VDAB, automatically populating the platform with over 40,000 active vacancies from day one.

Not just another recruitment platform.
BeJobs is more than just a job platform. It's a human-first tool to make work more accessible, personal, and meaningful again. By removing traditional barriers and focusing on human connection, Made and BeJobs' founders created a platform that aims to activate Belgium's hidden workforce and create more inclusive pathways to employment.
“Impact is one of our core values,” emphasizes Tim Van den Bergh. “In the context of recruitment, this value comes down to a high degree of social empowerment and inclusion. We believe work is not just a means to survive financially; it contributes to your social wellbeing, as an essential part of your social fabric. That’s why we wanted to collaborate with founders Andries and Steven to lower the threshold to work and to help people reconnect with purpose.”
"In this way, this new tool can really work”, adds Prof. Dr. Stijn Baert. “You match in a contemporary and enjoyable manner, similar to what we know from successful apps like Uber and Booking.com. BeJobs, therefore, has the potential to help vacancies and job seekers find each other faster, and attract inactive individuals who aren't currently searching.”
Official launch at prominent press event
BeJobs was officially launched on November 4, 2025, during a press event in Antwerp. The event brought together policymakers, labour market experts, and business leaders to explore how innovative digital solutions can address pressing workforce challenges.
The launch comes at a critical moment for Flanders' labour market. Minister-President Matthias Diependaele emphasized the platform's strategic importance: "Flemish prosperity relies on entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as a high activation rate. New technologies that creatively address the challenges of today's labour market deserve the necessary respect and applause. Smart approaches to strong employment, that's what it's all about!"
