Centralize scattered data.

With over 400 sensors installed across its vessels, countless third-party data streams and manual input systems in place, CMB.TECH had no shortage of information. However, this data was fragmented and inaccessible to the people who needed it most. Without a unified platform, real-time data-driven decisions remained out of reach.

With CMB.TECH committed to drastically reducing its CO2 emissions, information was necessary to make data-driven decisions on how it should proceed.

Enter Made.

FAST: a single and secure source of truth.

CMB.TECH chose to build its own platform from the ground up to retain full IP ownership, bringing all the data together into one cohesive system named FAST*. A single source of truth that connects ship and shore. Streamlined reporting allowed CMB.TECH to make smarter routing decisions, directly reducing fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions.

Taking a data-first approach also enabled predictive maintenance and improved technical performance, cutting costs and minimizing infrastructure wear. To ensure FAST would truly serve its users, we co-designed intuitive dashboards with CMB.TECH’s crew and operational staff. Becoming a cornerstone of modern fleet management soon after integration.

End-to-end collaboration.

Over the course of 3 years, FAST evolved from a strategic idea into a fully operational platform. We worked closely with CMB.TECH to shape the technical roadmap, define user needs through in-depth UX research, and lead the front-end development of the digital experience. By co-creating the solution with end-users. We ensured that the platform was designed for real-world conditions.

The final product has a suite of intuitive and purpose-built tools: a vessel dashboard, various reporting tools, modular tracking systems, live information on consumed fuel, and a tool for the optimal voyage for a specific vessel.
