Designed to meet the evolving needs of high-end kitchen design, Novy Undercover is an induction hob that completely disappears into the kitchen surface when not in use.In an age where kitchens are being shaped by interior architects rather than traditional builders, the demand for sleek, integrated solutions has never been higher.
Novy set out to address this shift by creating a product that blends effortlessly into its environment while offering best-in-class performance.But creating a hob that is invisible, yet powerful, presented unique challenges. How would users understand how to interact with a product they can’t see?
What would the ideal user experience look like? And how could we ensure it remained safe and intuitive?These were the questions we set out to answer together. We approached this challenge with a user-centric mindset. We conducted extensive research to understand real-life use cases and pain points, then translated those insights into prototypes. Each iteration brought us closer to a design that felt natural, safe, and satisfying to use.
